Washington, D.C. — Save Armenia: A Judeo-Christian Alliance, together with a coalition of leading American Christian voices, commends President Donald J. Trump for his pivotal role in advancing the cause of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The announcement on August 8, 2025, represents a monumental step toward lasting stability and prosperity in the Caucasus region.
“This breakthrough is a powerful testament to the strength of principled diplomacy backed by unwavering resolve,” said leaders of Save Armenia.
“By bringing the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan together, President Trump has given hope not only to these two nations but also to countless others who long to see this historically significant region flourish in peace.”
Save Armenia urges the United States to maintain firm pressure on Azerbaijan to fully honor its commitments and to end all threats—whether rhetorical, military, political, or economic—against Armenia. In addition, Save Armenia stresses the urgent need for:
- The immediate and unconditional release of all Armenian prisoners held in Baku. Their continued detention violates human rights, hinders reconciliation, and undermines the peace process.
- The safe and dignified return of the 120,000 Armenian Christians driven from their ancestral homes in Nagorno-Karabakh. Ensuring their right of return will be a defining measure of the peace process’s legitimacy and success.
“President Trump’s leadership has safeguarded the sovereignty of Armenia and defended the God-given rights of its people,” said Matias Perttula of Save Armenia. “We are grateful for his resolve in guiding these historic efforts toward a lasting and righteous peace.”
Save Armenia stands committed to advocating for peace, justice, and the protection of Armenia’s Christian heritage as this agreement takes root.
